When their creations can help somebody living with cancer beat the odds, designers become heroes. Helping to support researchers and scientists at one of the top five cancer centres in the world, Gluckstein Design has partnered with Caesarstone on the stunning Princess Margaret Home Lottery Showhome in Oakville, Ontario.

Celebrated designer Brian Gluckstein has created the Fall season Princess Margaret Home Lottery Showhome since 2013, supporting their mission to conquer cancer in our lifetime. Filled with plenty of inspiration for design professionals, his latest creation pushes the limits of creativity with innovative uses of more than 10 different Caesarstone surfaces throughout the 7220 square foot luxury home. Watch an exclusive interview with Brian Gluckstein and our VP of North American Marketing, Elizabeth Margles, and read on for all the details.

Making an instant impression, the striking entryway features 5131  Calacatta  Nuvo, 5100 Vanilla Noir and 5130 Cosmopolitan White in a grand, Art Deco-inspired foyer. The intricate, patterned flooring design mirrors the large, curved bay windows of the home and makes full use of the design flexibility of Caesarstone, while showcasing the expertise of professional fabricators and installers.

The heart of the home, the modern, inviting kitchen features the opulent creamy white 5111 Statuario Nuvo for the countertops, backsplash and floating shelves. That’s beautifully contrasted with a 5101 Empira Black kitchen island in a matte, honed finish. Encouraging clients to create a more dynamic, textural space, “you can mix colours, you can mix finishes; everything goes”, says Caesarstone’s Elizabeth Margles. “I want people to have that confidence; it doesn’t have to be so matchy”, adds Gluckstein.

The ultra-durable, heat-resistant Outdoor Collection can be seen on both fireplaces with 405 Midday in the family room, and 515 Palm Shade in the principal bedroom. 405 Midday was also used for the base and top of the custom table in the brightly lit, two-storey dining room. For surfaces that receive a lot of sunlight, you can suggest your clients consider the Outdoor Collection for its added durability.

In a high-traffic area like the mudroom, the 5101 Empira Black countertop, backsplash and floating shelf are more than up to the challenges of daily life and a busy family.

The lower level holds much more than a fitness centre. Both the movie theatre and hammam-inspired spa feature Caesarstone quartz in unique applications. Custom floating shelves and a backsplash in 4044 Airy Concrete are ready to house an at-home concession stand. The serene tones of 515 Palm Shade can be seen throughout the spa, including the vanity countertop, tub surround and steps, as well as the steam room countertop, bench and sink.
